Healthy & Delicious Mango, Banana & Orange Smoothie

Combining mangoes with almighty bananas and citrusy oranges creates a delicious smoothie that can be taken for breakfast and frozen into a refreshing Popsicle to satisfy your sweet tooth.

If you're ready to try a new delicious and fibre-rich smoothie recipe, you're in the right place. Combining mangoes(yum!), with almighty bananas and citrusy oranges creates a delicious smoothie that can be taken for breakfast and also frozen into a refreshing Popsicle to satisfy your sweet tooth.

Nutritionally, this recipe packs a punch, but let's talk about the ingredients one by one.

Bananas are an excellent source of potassium, which can help regulate blood pressure and support heart health. Oranges are packed with vitamin C, which can boost immunity and reduce inflammation. And mangoes are rich in antioxidants, protecting against disease and promoting healthy skin. Plus, all three fruits are low in calories and high in fibre, making them a perfect addition to a healthy diet and for weight loss.

If you're convinced by the nutritional benefits of the recipe, let's start making it:

Mango, Banana & Orange Smoothie

Prep Time: 5 mins Yield: 500 ml

Ingredients

  • 1 banana

  • 1 orange, peeled and segmented

  • 1/2 cup chopped mango

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup ice

  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Instructions

  1. Add the banana, orange segments, chopped mango, water, and ice to a blender.

  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 1-2 minutes.

  3. Taste and add honey if desired for sweetness.

  4. Pour into a glass and enjoy! You can also pour them into Popsicle cups and freeze them for a delicious and healthy treat on hot days.

Notes:

  • For a thicker smoothie, use frozen banana and mango chunks instead of fresh.

  • Feel free to add a handful of spinach or kale for an extra boost of nutrients.

  • You can also add some mint leaves for flavour or to garnish.

  • If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add additional honey or use sweetened almond milk or juice instead of water.
